I can’t imagine how hurtful it must be to hear that you’re not a part of the family. :-(

Everybody’s experiences are different. I have many times joked about inheriting “traits” from my adopted family. Low and behold, most of those same traits actually DO come from my birth family as well! Especially creative ones…

I am very thankful to have been chosen, as my parents have always provided for me, and like I said, my friends have become my siblings in many ways – we are thick as thieves, so I am never truly alone.

And as we speak, my cousins are opening up more to the family, so perhaps the times they are a’changin…
